MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc.

MHI Canada Inc. is a recognized Canadian Tier 1 Heavy Aerostructures Manufacturing Site and a Group Company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI).

Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research (DAIR) and Centennial College at Downsview, SETAS Labs

This consortium of large aeronautics and space companies, and leading post-secondary institutions from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have come together to develop a physical aerospace hub at Downsview Park in Toronto, Ontario. Supported by all three levels of government, the objective of DAIR is to increase collaborative research and development, accelerate technology adoption, and address the projected skills shortage in the aerospace industry.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. (TMMC) has been in operation since 1988 in Ontario, and currently builds the Toyota RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid, Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h vehicles. TMMC holds the distinction of being the first plant outside of Japan to manufacture a Lexus. They have won an impressive 18 J.D. Power Plant Quality awards, and their North factory recently won the coveted ‘Platinum’ award for the third time, making it the best-ranked in the world. TMMC is composed of three different plants — North, West and South, each building a different vehicle. In the first year TMMC opened, 153 cars were built. As of 2018, TMMC has manufactured over 8 million vehicles and now employs over 8,000 people.
