Arctic Wolf is a market leader in cybersecurity.

With R&D operations strategically situated in Ontario, Canada, we asked them why Ontario has been critical to their success.

Brian NeSmith, CEO and Co-Founder, Arctic Wolf:
What was appealing about Ontario, and specifically that Waterloo region in general was obviously just the wealth of universities and companies and the whole startup atmosphere and mentality that went with that. I went into that region knowing that there’s a great talent pool for cybersecurity talent. There is a wealth of expertise specifically around cryptography, artificial intelligence, machine learning.

Dinah Davis, VP of Research and Development, Arctic Wolf:
We have two founders, one lived in the [Silicon] Valley and one was here in Waterloo. They noticed that the retention for employees in Canada was dramatically higher than that of the Valley. It’s why Google is here in town. There’s top talent here and people want to be part of that.

Michael Morrissey, SVP of Research and Development, Arctic Wolf:
Culturally and capability wise, Ontario is a hotbed of talent. We can get people that can do the job and be successful and continue to grow with the company.
