Invest Ontario Names New Executive to Drive Growth Strategies and Operations

Invest Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Sunita Chander as its Chief Strategy and Operations Officer.

Sunita will be leading enterprise strategy, risk and operational excellence to drive Invest Ontario’s long-term direction by further cementing the organization’s stability and vision as it responds to new mandates.

As the Agency enters its sixth year, we have built an organization that is responding to Ontario’s evolving economic priorities. Sunita will ensure the organization remains agile, client-focused and committed to operational excellence, enabling us to adapt to the changing global landscape with focus and confidence.

Sunita brings more than 20 years of public sector leadership experience across energy, finance and procurement. She joins Invest Ontario from Supply Ontario, where she served as Chief Strategy, Programs and Partnership Officer, overseeing the Agency’s strategic direction and stakeholder engagement.

Since its inception, Invest Ontario has helped companies announce more than $12 billion in investments, creating over 11,000 jobs across the province. With a growing mandate and expanding role in delivering strategic investment programs, the Agency remains focused on helping Ontario compete in an increasingly complex global economy.
