Invest Ontario welcomes Pharmacosmos’ major expansion in Ontario

Significant investment will create 50 new high-value jobs and support further growth over the next three years, strengthening Ontario’s life sciences leadership and improving access to critical therapies.

TORONTO, Ontario, June 8, 2026 – Invest Ontario welcomes Pharmacosmos’ decision to expand its Ontario footprint. The expansion will create 50 new high value jobs, support further growth over the next three years and anchor Ontario as Pharmacosmos’ national hub for pharmaceutical operations across Canada.

By choosing Ontario, Pharmacosmos is tapping into one of North America’s most robust life sciences ecosystems, supported by a highly skilled workforce, world class research capacity, and a strong healthcare market. Operating from Mississauga, the company will oversee hospital sales for iron deficiency treatments nationwide, enabling closer collaboration with hospital systems, faster responsiveness to clinical needs, and reliable access to essential therapies for patients across the country.

Establishing these operations in Ontario positions Pharmacosmos to meet today’s patient demand while building scalable capacity for future growth and product expansion in the Canadian market. The investment further reinforces Ontario’s reputation as a premier destination for global pharmaceutical companies and adds momentum to the province’s fast growing life sciences cluster with national and international reach.
