Invest Ontario welcomes ZS Engineering Labs

Investment will create up to 300 high-skilled jobs and strengthen Ontario’s AI, digital health, and life sciences ecosystem

TORONTO, Ontario, June 11, 2026 – Invest Ontario welcomes ZS’s decision to expand its operations in the province through the creation of a new Engineering Labs in Toronto. The project represents a $165 million investment and is expected to create up to 300 high-skilled jobs over the next three to five years, supporting the company’s long term growth in Ontario.

ZS, a global management consulting and technology firm, is establishing the Engineering Labs to support its use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to deliver on its business strategies across healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The investment reflects how AI is enabling companies to scale operations, drive innovation and expand high-value work.

Invest Ontario worked with the firm to advance the project through strategic advisory services, including benchmarking analysis comparing operating costs across Ontario locations, helping build connections with local governments, universities, and ecosystem partners, and providing guidance on potential provincial and federal support programs to facilitate growth.

ZS selected Ontario for its strong pipeline of highly skilled talent, as well as the strength of the province’s AI, digital health, and life sciences ecosystem. A Toronto based operation provides access to North American clients and supports continued growth in a globally competitive market.

By establishing its Engineering Labs in Toronto, ZS is expanding its AI-enabled capabilities and strengthening its presence in Ontario’s innovation ecosystem. The project will contribute to the creation of high-value jobs and reinforce Ontario’s position as a destination for advanced, knowledge-based investment.
