The concentration on AI - in an inspiring way, Roche is thinking about its impact on the world - not for the next ten years, but perhaps the next 40 to 50 years.

Technologies like AI are fundamentally reshaping health care.  
This investment's important because Canada is a magnet for AI talent. The fact that Canada and Roche Canada was chosen for this investment globally is a really important signal.

I'm very proud of the fact that we're able to create these opportunities for Ontarians, and that they can have a meaningful global career and stay in Canada while doing so. Invest Ontario's collaboration with us is the key reason that we were able to attract this investment.

Garrett Tone:
Roche was looking for a partner who could bring everyone to the table.

And so if any company is thinking about either expanding already existing operations or bringing operations to Ontario, Invest Ontario's a core partner in being able to help you build a business case, giving you the right challenge in your considerations, thinking through your objectives, understand costs and investment opportunities. Their partnership and their counsel along the way was extremely meaningful, and it really does help ease the process for any company that wants to advance. And I think the whole conversation took place in about 14 months, which is record speed for a company of our size.
