This Month's Highlights
Ontario and India have always shared a strong, fruitful relationship based on a storied trade and investment history. Currently, India has more than 60 companies with operations in Ontario, and we’re thrilled to announce that there are about to be two more.
In December 2020, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Vic Fedeli, launched the province’s first-ever virtual trade and investment mission, with India as the inaugural destination. The virtual trade mission was a tremendous success for both jurisdictions, building on the connections made during the Minister’s last visit to India in 2019.
Among new strategic partnerships that resulted from the virtual trade mission, Indian manufacturing leaders PackUniverse and Plastic Component Industries (PCI) announced plans to expand their international operations for the first time, choosing Ontario for their respective new facilities.
