From November 12 – 13th, the global gaming community will click to connect at MEGAMIGS 2020 – Canada’s premier video game industry event. Established over 15 years ago, MEGAMIGS has lined up live programming, a networking platform and much more during the 2020 online version of the event. The conference will drive business development and serve as a conduit to exchange ideas between the hundreds of global attendees.

As an IT hotspot where bold ideas live, 17 companies from Ontario, Canada will be front and centre, showcasing what the province has to offer – both as a location for global expansion and as a one-stop source for high-quality, advanced digital gaming technologies and services.

From top to bottom, there is a long corridor of tech excellence in Ontario. The number one reason? Our 44 colleges and universities that produce nearly 55,000 STEM graduates annually – providing a constant supply of talent to companies across the entire tech spectrum. Specific to digital gaming, Ontario’s post-secondary institutions offer 40+ programs in the field, developing the talent needed to help produce the games of today and bring new exciting ideas forward for future titles and products.

In addition to our homegrown best and brightest, we want more of the world’s top talent and innovative entrepreneurs to consider Ontario. Canada’s friendly, high-speed immigration programs, such as the Global Talent Stream for Skilled Workers, can help to make this a reality.

Layer on our globally-competitive corporate tax rates, attractive funding programs for the interactive digital media sector and our inclusive, connected, and vibrant community culture, it’s clear to see there’s never been a better time to think Ontario.
